Sheona's Journal

Journal Entry: Tue Dec 19, 2006, 5:32 PM

You may have noticed my recent disappearance from DA recently. I've been having a few health problems, and unfortunately my lack of presence online is set to continue for a while yet. See my livejournal if you want to keep up to date.

=========================================

So the long-anticipated operation looms. The procedure I will be having is a lumbar micro discectomy.

=========================================

Dates:
My hospital stay is from Friday the 27th April to Monday the 30th April at the earliest.

Recovery
I should be able to have some mobility from within the first 24 hours, although I will still have a sizeable amount of pain, weakness and tingling for some time. Estimated recovery time is 6-12 weeks, although other factors may prolong this.

Returning to DA
I am unsure of when I will be able to sit at the computer or produce more artwork. It is something I have been largely unable to do for many months now, and I have missed you all greatly! I hope to be around more in about a month's time. Take care, and lets hope I can return sooner rather than later!

Signing off for now :)

in a world of sh*t, im glad im not you.

Ah.....CSS....I will be learning to code that sometime soon, stuck in HTML coding right now though....congrats?
:iconsheona:
Thanks for the congrats. I'm sure I will figure out the journals eventually. I can code CSS for websites, so it's just a matter of getting my hands into the codes specific to the DA journals and trying to work around the current limitations. I'd really recommend you learn some CSS, as it really transformed my websites when I did!

Crap? Crap did you say? :shakefist: Lol, just kidding. :blowkiss:

CSS means cascading style sheets. It's the coding used to dictate how a webpage (or in this case, a journal) looks and acts. It's things like the positioning of text, colours of links and roll overs, and scrolling. I can code CSS on a website, but I'm new to the whole journal thing so it will need some effort on my part!

And you probably have exactly the right approach to argumentative idiots. He was the type that simply had to have the last word, even after I said I would be the mature one and end the argument there. I've simply blocked him now as I don't see the point in wasting any more time on him. It doesn't stop me wishing I had a giant poking stock right about now, though... :D

Oh, and thank you for being one of the few to read my journals! :hug:

I am in a web design class, I already want CSS because there are a lot of things I can do with CSS and not HTML....anyway, think I am gonna use my art for a website eventually =D
:iconvoidsource:
your welcome....yea so just forget that person. hope you recover fast.

Ever seen a 3D-Asuarus?

That sounds like a great idea! I've used my art in both my web designs now. I would love to take a course, but simply can't afford the time or money. So I am purely self-taught. CSS really is revolutionary compared to HTML. It's just the CSS tags specific to the journals that I need to deal with learning now!

You really should design a website using your art though. I'd love to see it!

Yeah, I will just put them out of my mind. Good advice :D

And thank you for the well wishes! You're a real sweetie :glomp:

Yeah, I know CSS well enough, but have never used it in a journal. There are tutorials and explanations of what all the different DA journal tags are, so it's going to be a case of finding time, sitting down and reading them! Still, I'll no doubt get there eventually! :D
